Spring in the canyon! Only a drive can show you how Mother Nature processes from 100 inches of snow to beautiful new leaves and spring flowers!  Spring also brings change and for us we are sad to say Lindsy Tieman, 7 ½  year incredible employee, has taken a normal job working Monday – Friday 8am-5pm!  She will be missed beyond words! We wish her all the best!

Mother’s day is fast approaching. If your Mom is like mine she has everything! There is truly no more Knick Knacks you can buy her! What my Mom loves most on any day; is spending it with her six kids, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren (when possible they all live in 4 states!)
I have to work on Mother’s day so for me the best thing is to bring her and all my siblings to my wonderful restaurant, the Latchstring. If you are looking for something to do with your mom bring her to the lodge; the drive is incredible, food is amazing and of course I will do everything I can to help you make it a memorable day. If you can’t make it to Spearfish Canyon Lodge or the Latchstring think about a gift certificate as we have all the Knick Knacks plus food and accommodations!
Mother’s day is May 10th whether you are lucky enough to spend it with your mom in presence or beautiful memories don’t forget!!
