SD Trip
Author: LindaLast week I had the pleasure of traveling to Sioux Falls for the annual sports show. Leaving the beautiful black hills to the awesome badlands and then on to the prairie is simply a great experience for me. It helps you to remember what makes this State the best. Over the years that I have made this trip I always stop some place that I have not been. Along the I-90 Corridor there are many unique places with lots to see and do. Of course my first stop is for a traditional chocolate frosted doughnut at Wall Drug. Then on to Kadoka home of the Petrified Forest which is very neat. Next on my list is Murdo with their Pioneer Auto Museum; with lots of old cars and family style restaurants. When I finally make it to the river I must have some of Al’s Oasis pie and coffee! I also love all the antique shops there! Mitchell is a drive downtown to see what the Corn Place has done for the year. Finally on to Sioux Falls with fabulous shopping and great food. On my return trip this year I also stopped in White Lake what a wonderful old main street area-I bought a birthday card for .38! There are so many other great sites the ghost town at Belvidere, the Old West town and the Cactus Flats no wonder it takes me 8 hours to make this 6 hour drive! But it is so worth it! Are you looking to vacation this summer? Try your own back yard! I can make your driver even better contact me for any stay any day only $69 standard room(as with any offer some restrictions apply based on availability)!
